See the dashboard as it was, and bring it back

History now takes you back in time: any moment of a dashboard's past can be seen on the dashboard itself, restored as it was, and given a name so the team can find it again — and every widget has a history of its own.

The dashboard as it was

Pick View the board as of here in a session's ⋯ menu and the dashboard shows itself as it was right after it — the widgets and their settings, the tabs, the filters, the layout — read-only, under a blue banner that says when you're looking at. What changed since is marked on each widget, what was removed since is back in its place, and what was added since is a dashed outline. In History, a scrubber over the last 14 days moves you from one moment to the next; the arrow keys do too, and Esc comes back to now.

Restore a version

In Edit mode, Restore this version brings the whole dashboard back to that moment — settings, layout, tabs, filters, widgets removed since. Nothing is lost: the restore is a change of yours, the changes it took back stay in History struck through, and ⌘Z takes the whole restore back.

Named versions

Name this version marks a moment — Before the Q3 review — as a flag in History that everyone on the dashboard sees, with View and Restore a hover away. Named versions, in History's menu, lists them all.

One widget's history

The ⋯ beside each widget opens its own history: who added it and who changed it last, then what changed on it since your last visit — or since yesterday, since it was added, since a named version — as its recipe then and now, the old values struck through beside the new ones. In Edit mode, Undo all puts the widget back as it was at that moment, and ⌘Z takes that back too. A widget's name anywhere in History opens it as well, and See in History on Axi's card of changes goes straight to the session they landed in.
