The table editor, as a recipe
A table's editor now reads the way the chart and KPI editors do — the Columns it lists, Only under some conditions, its Sort & limit and its Appearance — with the table beside it, at the size it has on your dashboard.
Start from a suggestion
A new table opens on a question — What do you want to list? — and up to four tables drawn from your data: the latest rows of the tables your team uses most, newest first, and tables that come with the fields of their related tables already joined. Click one and the recipe fills in. Or describe the table to Axi in the box under the question, or pick the columns yourself.
Pick columns, several at once
Pick columns opens every field you can list, grouped by table, and stays open while you tick: click a field to add it, click it again to take it away, or Add all of a table at once. The rows follow what you pick. Under the table, a line says where its columns come from — Region comes from Regions, through Stores — and a click on a table there opens its fields.
One menu per column
Sorting, pinning, hiding, filtering and removing a column now live in one menu, the same whether you open it from the column's row in the recipe or from its header on the table. Its first line says where the column comes from and what it holds. A hidden column stays in the recipe, one click from coming back.
Pages and looks
Sort & limit reads the order back in words — by transaction date, newest first · 50 per page — and now sets how many rows a page holds: 25, 50, 100 or 200. Appearance is new: row numbers, zebra stripes, long text that wraps, and column headers you can hide for a plain list of rows.
Axi, inside the table
Ask Axi opens at the foot of the recipe with the table attached: "add the customer's country", "only France", "newest first". The steps it changes are marked until your next edit, and every change can be undone. The list of every field (Browse all fields), the condition editor and the ⋯ menu are the chart editor's, and a calculated column now opens the chart's calculation dialog.
