Claude Sonnet 5.5 is the new default, with new models from Anthropic and OpenAI

Axi now runs on the latest models from Anthropic and OpenAI, and Claude Sonnet 5.5 becomes the default for every workspace that hasn't picked a model.

What changed​

  • Anthropic's current lineup. Claude Haiku 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1 replace the previous versions in Settings → Axi → Model. A workspace that picked one of them moves to the new version, with nothing to do.
  • OpenAI's GPT-6 family. GPT-6 Luna and GPT-6.1 Sol replace their GPT-5.6 versions, and GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI's new flagship, joins the list. GPT-5.6 Terra stays available as the previous generation's balanced model.
  • A new default. A workspace that never chose a model now runs on Claude Sonnet 5.5 instead of GPT-5.6 Terra. To keep Terra, or to use any other model, pick it under Settings → Axi → Model.
  • Lower prices. Several tiers cost less than the versions they replace — GPT-6.1 Sol, Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Haiku 5.5 and GPT-6 Luna in particular — so members' monthly AI credits go further on them.
