Maps

Color countries, US states, or French régions and départements by any value — revenue by country, customers by state, orders by département — with the new map chart type. Same editor, same drag-and-drop, and Axi builds them too.

A declared geography, never a guess

A map only accepts fields an administrator has tagged as geographic — once, in Settings → Models, saying which regions the field describes and which codes it holds (ISO country codes, INSEE codes, US state codes, or plain names). Nothing is inferred from the data, so a map is either right or it tells you why it isn't: values Axiome cannot place are listed under the map instead of vanishing, and a region with no data stays outlined rather than painted as "low".

Reading the map

Regions are shaded from light to dark on a scale built from the chart's color, with a legend formatted like your other numbers. Hover a region for its value and its share of the total, click it to explore the rows behind it or filter it out, and switch types freely — a bar chart split by country becomes a country map. The Style tab frames the whole region set or just the regions with data, reverses the scale, toggles borders, and turns on pan and zoom for viewers.

Ask Axi

Show revenue by country on a map is all it takes: Axi knows which fields carry a geographic tag, picks one, and — if the field you named isn't tagged — says so and points your administrator to the fix instead of guessing.
