Search and folders on the Dashboards page

Find any dashboard in a keystroke, and file the rest into folders that are yours to arrange.

A search box now sits above the list. It matches a dashboard's title, its owner, its tags, and the folder it's in, in any order — "finance q3" finds Q3 revenue filed under Finance. Accents and case don't matter. Search looks through every folder at once, and each result shows where it lives; click that location to jump straight into the folder.

Folders

The Dashboards page can now be organized into folders, nested as deep as you like. They're personal: how you file a dashboard someone shared with you is up to you, and it changes nothing for them — much like favorites.

  • New folder creates one where you're standing; click a folder to open it and use the breadcrumb to go back up.
  • Or unfold a folder in place with the chevron next to its name, to peek at what's inside without leaving the list.
  • Drag and drop a dashboard, or a whole folder, onto a folder to file it, or onto the breadcrumb to move it up a level. Linger over a folded folder and it opens for you.
  • Hover a dashboard for Move to folder when you'd rather pick from a menu; hover a folder to rename, move, or delete it.
  • New dashboard from inside a folder puts the new dashboard right there.
  • Deleting a folder is safe: its dashboards and subfolders move up one level.

Search and the tag filter both span every folder, so nothing is ever more than one query away.
