Axi sets up a whole connection, five tables at a time
Axi could describe the table in front of you. It can now work through the whole connection — and the left rail saves the result in one press.
Start from what is missing
Open Axi on a connection nobody has modelled yet and the first things it offers are about the connection rather than the table on screen: Set up this connection, with what it found — 3 of 42 tables have a description · 5 have keys — and Describe the 39 tables with no description.
Either one starts a sweep. Axi looks up which tables still lack a description, a primary key or a main date, reads their columns, and proposes for five tables at a time, one card each. It then says what is left and asks whether to go on.
It does not go round in circles: a table it described a moment ago is no longer missing a description, even before you save, so "continue" always brings the next tables. Descriptions follow the register of the ones already on your connection.
Save 5 tables
A sweep leaves unsaved changes on tables you never opened, so the left rail now carries a Save 5 tables button at its foot — counting every table with unsaved changes, yours as well as Axi's, in Tables, Metrics and Relationships alike.
A batch is not all-or-nothing. Each table is saved on its own, so if one of them moved under you, the rest are still saved and Axiome names the one that was not.
