Axi shows its work, and the chat input gets out of the way
Asking Axi something used to mean watching a single word — Thinking — until an answer appeared. Now you see the reads as they finish, and the input they sit above has been rebuilt around them.
One line per thing it read
While Axi works, each read it completes is written out under the conversation:
- Read 14 columns of
ordersand the 5 tables they may reference - Sampled 50,000 rows of
orders - Checking
customer_idagainstcustomers.id…
They are sentences about what was found, not tool names, and they are there to be watched rather than kept — when the answer lands, it takes their place. A long turn is no longer a silent one, and on the Data section, where Axi proposes changes to your semantic model, you can see the sampling that a claim rests on happen before the claim is made.
A chat input with room to breathe
The composer is now three quiet lines instead of one crowded field:
- What the question carries sits above it. The dashboard or widget you attached, the connection, the table Axi is pointed at — all on their own line, next to a dashed Attach pill that shows where more can go.
- The box is just the box. Nothing else is crammed inside it.
- The metadata sits underneath, out of the way: your credit bar on the left, the keyboard shortcuts and the send button on the right.
